提交ITR时应避免的错误
提交ITR时最常见的错误之一是使用错误的ITR表格。使用不正确的表格会导致有缺陷的申报，并将被所得税部门拒绝。
“选择合适的ITR表格主要取决于你的收入来源。例如，如果您是受薪个人，您可以使用ITR表1提交报税表。然而，如果你既有工资收入又有投资资本收益，你应该使用ITR表格2。另一方面，如果你是自雇人士，以商业利润作为你的收入来源，你应该使用ITR表格3提交你的申报表，”Clear创始人兼首席执行官Archit Gupta说
2)利息收入
另一个要避免的严重错误是没有报告所有来源的收入。包括工资收入、商业/职业收入、房产收入、资本收益和投资收入。“遗漏任何收入都可能招致税务机关的处罚和审查。同样，确保根据所得税法的各个部分，如第80C条和第80D条，申请符合条件的扣除和豁免，以减少你的应税收入，”Amit Gupta说，SAG Infotech MD。
如果您有海外资产或收入，请遵守联邦应急管理局的规定，并披露必要的细节。此外，在提交纳税申报表时，要披露所有的银行账户，包括外国账户。
3)未能预先验证您的银行账户
在提交所得税申报表时，预先确认银行账户是至关重要的，特别是如果纳税人希望获得任何超额税款的退税。
如果不这样做，所得税部门将无法抵扣欠你的所得税退税，Archit Gupta说。
4) Selec报错评税年度
许多纳税人混淆了“课税年度”和“财政年度”这两个术语。“财政年度”是指获得收入的期间。例如，如果您在2023年7月31日或之前提交ITR，则您要提交2022年4月1日至2023年3月31日之间的收入。从4月到3月的这段时间被称为2022-23财政年度或2022-23财年。
然而，评税年度是在提交报税表的财政年度之后的一年。例如，如果你在2023年6月或7月提交报税表，那么课税年度就是2023-24年。
“要记住这一区别，请记住评税年度总是在财政年度之后。”因此，对于当前的纳税申报，你应该选择2023-24年的评估年度。”
5)忘记验证您的ITR
一个常见的报税错误是忘记核实你的所得税申报表。通常，纳税人只有在收到所得税部门的通知时才意识到这个错误。纠正这个错误既耗时又昂贵。
目前，纳税人在提交完整的ITR表格后，有30天的时间来核实他们的ITR。
“重要的是要避免常见的错误，如申请减免、扣除和豁免，而没有在适用的截止日期内提交强制性所得税表格，提供不完整或不正确的银行详细信息，未能按照表格26AS调整收入和TDS，忽略AIS/TIS中提供的信息，不保留申请扣除的证据，遗漏资本利得/损失交易(如适用)，申请虚假扣除以减少应纳税所得额，没有披露所有收入来源。”
个人纳税人应保留表格16、表格16A、银行对账单、投资证明和租金收据等适当的文件记录至少6年。这些记录可以作为参考，特别是在审计或税务机关询问时。
